ABOUT SURFAH
The idea for SURFAH was born on a trip to Indonesia. After days of non-stop surfing my usual anti-chafe product wasn't cutting it, and I was left with irritated, unhappy skin. I knew there had to be a better way, something that could help prevent chafing while also soothing and calming skin post-surf. So I set out to create a product that could do both: protect and perform. That's how SURFAH came to life.
SURFAH is a small New Zealand brand, and like most surfers I juggle the 9-5 work week and spend my spare time chasing those elusive waves that deliver that magic surf feeling. Every product SURFAH creates is built with an ocean-minded approach to innovation, and a focus on pure functionality. Designed for anyone chasing waves, SURFAH helps you spend less time dealing with hassles and more time in the water - scoring waves, soaking up good vibes and making every surf count!
What's next for SURFAH?
I love looking at new ideas and new products to improve the surf experience, and have a further two products in testing stage - stay tuned.
ABOUT ME
I first picked up a surfboard in my early twenties, with a few surf lessons while on holiday in the US.
I loved it (was fairly useless!) and vowed to surf more. But others sports such as golf and running, along with a career, got in the way until a few years ago when I decided to get back into it.
It is easily one of the most frustrating sports at times, but..... there is also nothing like that feeling of a good wave.
I am based in Auckland - so my fave surf spots include the west coast beaches of Auckland - Piha & Maori Bay, the east coast from Tawharanui to Waipu or further afield Raglan (pretty much anywhere there are waves!)
I created SURFAH because I want to help surfers maximise their time in the water.
