Ingredients

What is the balm and what does it do?

The Surfah 2-n-1 balm is designed to protect skin from chafing, friction, and irritation caused by wetsuits, surfboards, running, cycling, or any high-friction activity. It creates a long-lasting barrier while helping soothe and support stressed skin before and after activity.

What are some of the hero ingredients of the 2-n-1 Balm?

Beeswax and Oat Lipid work to create a barrier to help prevent chafing and friction, while also locking in moisture.

Kawakawa, bisabolol and allantoin then help to soothe, calm and reduce skin irritation.

Is the balm natural?

The balm contains naturally derived oils and waxes (beeswax, oat lipid, almond oil, bisabolol). It also contains small quantities of performance waxes (paraffin and ozokerite) to ensure long-lasting, water resistant barrier protection. This combination provides maximum anti-chafe performance while keeping the formula safe and effective.

Is the balm ocean friendly? or "reef safe"?

We don't claim "reef safe" as there is no universal standard/regulation for that.

Because the balm is applied in small, targeted areas, the overall ocean impact is kept to a minimum. The formula is designed to stay on the skin rather than wash off quickly, and includes biodegradable plant-based oils. It’s built for ocean and water sports with a low-impact, performance-focused approach.

Do you use synthetic fragrances or parabens?

The 2-n-1 Balm is paraben and sulphate free. It is also designed to be fragrance-free to further reduce skin irritation.

Is this product suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes - the balm is designed for use on sensitive skin, (paraben and sulphate-free). The balm is also fragrance-free, as even small quantities of fragrances may cause skin irritation. It is always recommended to patch test before use.
